El Restaurante
Aprons, Platters, Menus, the Works!
El Restuarante All of Mr. Heikell's Spanish classes are currently learning about food and how to get around in a restaurant. I have combed the area for local donations and I have purchased several items on my own in order to recreate the restaurant experience for the students.
Using a variety of menus, study guides and with your teacher's guidance you will learn what to say and how to say it in just about every situation in a restaurant. Having you physically go through the motions with cups in hand, server booklets, drink platters and much much more you will be transported into restaurant land. With aprons and pens ready you will go through the greeting process, ordering process and finally checking out. By the time you are done you will really feel confident and capable to do this in real life. All of this practice will lead up to a role-play with the teacher in class. A visit to a local Mexican Restaurant is in the planning stage (later in the chapter) pending the COVID-19 situation at that time.
